Sending Files with the Outlook® Plug-in
The Outlook® plug-in provides two ways that you can send files through email. Before sending files, you should review the information about each option to determine the method that best fits your needs.
Sending Files with Share Safe
Sending Files with 7Zip
When you share files using this method, the system packages the files in a ZIP file. This ZIP file is then inserted in the email you send to the customers. Recipients can download the ZIP file from the email, and then use 7-Zip, a free application, to extract the files. Recipients must enter a file access key that is sent in a second email before they can open the files.
One advantage of using this method of sending files is that your firm's sensitivity levels will be used to determine if files can be sent via email.
This method of sending files can be used with files stored in Document. It cannot be used with files that are stored elsewhere.
